Videos - Manufacturing a Terminal Board in a Progressive Die
This video shows a 60 ton punch press making a terminal board in a progressive die at a rate of 5,000 pieces per hour. The tan kraft insulation paper and the tin plated cold rolled steel are entering the tool from different sides as they are being unrolled from their prospective coils. Both materials are stamped and formed simultaneously. The formed terminals are being attached to the kraft insulation paper and locked in place using a rollover method developed by Stever-Locke. You will notice the coiled kraft paper and steel has been manufactured into a self- locking terminal board. The completed part is cut off and falls into a carton to be shipped to a customer that will insert it into a lighting ballast.
