Stever-Locke Industries has been designing and building tooling systems since 1946. Several of our tooling systems contain up to 60 automated progressive die stations that fabricate both metal and fiber, as well as assemble these two items into one finished product, all in one stroke of the press, at rates up to 150 strokes per minute. For over 66 years our motto is "Once we build a tool, we maintain it free of charge for the life of the tool" and that still holds true today.
Working in our tool room and design shop, our skilled tool makers will work closely with the customer to provide a unique and economical tool design solution to meet the production qty of stamped parts required. Utilizing AutoCAD lite for your tool design, SLI will then use Cad based wire EDM, Bridgeport milling machines, horizontal milling machines, heat treating, tool room lathes, machinist lathes, surface grinders, and tool and cutter grinders to mfg your tool and prove-out the process for first piece inspection and your approval. Weather single stage or a progressive die, all our dies are run in high-speed presses with a wide range of bed sizes, tonnage and speeds. During the test period, any engineering tool correction is addressed and tooling prints are updated.
In addition, Stever-Locke Industries has complete capabilities and staff to engineer, design, build and maintain your custom tooling system and rebuild existing tooling. Every tool is designed and built in-house by our experienced staff.
As always, once we design and build a tool all tools are maintained free of charge for the life of the tool.
